VascuPen is a targeted handpiece on the Alma Harmony platform designed to treat individual vessels and lesions directly.
Targeted Energy Delivery
VascuPen delivers focused energy that is absorbed by hemoglobin within the targeted vessel. The vessel wall collapses and is gradually reabsorbed by the body over the following weeks, while surrounding skin is left untouched. Because the applicator is precise, treatment can be delivered vessel by vessel.

Treatment Experience
Sessions are usually brief, often ten to twenty minutes depending on how many vessels are being treated. Most clients describe a quick snapping sensation at each pulse. Mild redness or slight swelling around treated vessels is common and typically settles within a day or two.
Results Timeline
Some vessels disappear immediately during treatment. Others fade progressively over two to four weeks as the body clears the treated tissue. Larger or more established vessels sometimes need a second session, which we would schedule about four weeks out.

Is VascuPen Right for You?

When Dye-VL Is the Better Choice
If your redness is diffuse rather than made up of countable vessels, VascuPen is the wrong tool. Generalized flushing across the cheeks and rosacea respond far better to Dye-VL, which treats the whole area. Many clients end up having both, with Dye-VL clearing the background redness and VascuPen finishing the stubborn individual vessels afterward.
Before and After Your Treatment
Avoid sun and self tanner for two weeks beforehand. Sessions are short, often ten to twenty minutes depending on how many vessels are being treated, and most clients describe a quick snapping sensation at each pulse. Afterward, expect mild redness or slight swelling around the treated vessels for a day or two. Avoid heat, alcohol, and strenuous exercise for the rest of the day, as all three dilate vessels.
Booking at AREA
Many vessels clear in a single session, with some disappearing during treatment itself and others fading over two to four weeks as your body reabsorbs them. Larger or more established vessels sometimes need a second session about four weeks later. Treated vessels are permanently cleared, though new ones can form over time, particularly with continued sun exposure or rosacea. A fifty dollar appointment reservation fee is assessed at the time of booking and will be deducted from the services provided as defined in our policies.
